Joseph Laurentian Blommaert

Joe, of West Gwillimbury Township is survived by his wife Jeanette and their children Heather (Darrin) Smith of Nelson, B.C., and Joseph Jr. (Anna) of Belle Ewart. Also survived by his former wife Jean Scott and their children Judy (Joe) Guilherme of Palgrave; Daniel of Stratford; Linda (Bruce) Sutton of Georgetown; Brenda (Jim) Smellie of Embro; Kim (Brad) Gates of Stratford; Sandra (Peter) Metelski of Stratford; and Jeffrey (Rhonda) of Waterloo. Proud grandpa of Jason (Michelle), Jarod (Nadine), Jeffery (Diana), Justin, Andrea, Amy, Aaron, Bryanne, Samantha, Evan, Janine, Nicole, Scotty, Maggie, Emily, and Kirsi. Great grandpa of Jenna, Jaiden and Jessyca. Dear brother of Louise Rether-Kopp and Cyril (Eleanor) of Exeter and the late Andrew and the late Carson Matte. Joe was an active volunteer. He was proud to serve as a member of the Lions Club, first with Bond Head and then Bradford Lions Club. Friends may call at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford for visitation on Monday, January 11, 2010 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of a service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment Bond Head Cemetery.
