Ross Edward Asselstine

(United Empire Loyalist, Former Member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 547, Lefroy)  Ross Asselstine, formerly of Leaside and Churchill, Ontario, peacefully passed away at North York General Hospital on Monday, January 4, 2010, at 78 years of age.  Beloved husband of 58 years to Elizabeth (Betty) Stoddart.  Loving father of sons Anthony (Jayne), Randall (Claudette) and Christopher (Terry).  Dear grandfather of Jennifer, Julie, Christa, Jonathan, Ryan, Kaitlin, Ashley and Cody.  Ross, a successful business man, retired at the age of 47, to enjoy the winters in Florida with Betty.  He will be sadly missed by all of his family for his strength and his love of family.  Friends may call at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803) for visitation on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 2-4 p.m.  Funeral service will be held in the Lathangue Chapel on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.  Donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 547, Lefroy would be appreciated.
