Peter Douglas Monkhouse

With sadness, Peter’s family announces his sudden passing on December 23^rd.  Predeceased by parents Stanley and Catherine Monkhouse of Guelph.  Loved by daughters Jennifer and Alison, brothers Joe (Sharon) and Tom and their families, and remembered kindly by Linda.  We are happy that baby Everett got to visit with his grandpa several times, bringing smiles to both faces.  A longtime resident of Bond Head and Bradford, Dad felt fortunate to be a part of smaller communities.  Through Scotiabank, Century 21 and the Rotary Club of Bradford he made lifelong friends. He always enjoyed social times and being around people, but especially cherished his time “with the boys” fishing and cooking at Bronson Lake.  Cremation has occurred, and in keeping with his wishes a celebration of life will be held on January 16^th at the Fox and Fiddle, 446 Davis Drive in Newmarket, between 2 and 5 p.m.  Come share some snacks, good memories and stories.  A private memorial will take place at a later date.  With appreciation, and if desired, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
